Fairfax County Public Schools

Fairfax County, Virginia

Our home school district is Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). Located in Fairfax County, Virginia, immediately West of Washington D.C. FCPS operates one of the largest fleets in the nation. FCPS drivers and transportation staff use over 1,700 buses to transport over 130,000 students each day. The fleet started in 1928, when the very first Fairfax County school bus served Fairview Elementary School in Fairfax Station, Virginia. Fairview Elementary is still an active elementary school, but the fate of that first school bus is unknown at this time.
